Explain The Difference Between Data And Information
- Data is raw facts, it can be the form of numbers, symbols, pictures or even sounds. Data is used as input.
- Information
is data that is organized and meaningful, it is used for making
decisions, information is out put. Information is used to influence and
persuade and it can be a capital resource, etc.
ISSUE OF DATA AND INFORMATION
Garbage in, garbage in (GIGO),
that means you cannot create correct information from incorrect data.
The Economics Of Information
Information has two basic elements:
- Reach means the number of people, participate, exchanging, sharing the information.
- Richness
means quality or quantity of information shared in transaction. It has
three components, such as bandwidth, customization, interactivity.
Information Management
Information
management (IM) is a general terms that refers to managing any kind of
information or it is the collection and management of information from
one or more sources.
Information
management encompasses systems such as web content management (CM),
document management (DM), records management (RM), digital asset
management (DAM), learning management systems (LM), learning content
management systems (LCM).
Problems Associated With Information Management
Problems consist of virus, hacking and data lost.
Activity
We
had presentation in week three about information management and my
group represent about web content management (CM) and my part was about
advantages of CM.
Beside that we had discuss and explain usage ICT, my group had seven member and we presented about usage ICT in Vietnam
